Poppy is now reserved, but we are waiting the outcome of the vet referral on her leg. ;D Poor Nina, looks like you will have to put that bed away until we find you another little foster. That won't be long, I'm sure ;D

Jenny, can't possibly put that bed away, THAT bed is our bed!!!! or should i say that the dogs allow us to share our bed with them ;D ;D our dogs don't have a 6ft bed for nothing, - its so we don't have to sleep in the crate ;D Be very happy Poppy girl, you are just stunning, and your new owners are very lucky. .........meanwhile i don't suppose that gap in our bed will last for long

I spoke to our vet this morning and he thinks that Poppy WILL be able to manage quite well with her wobbly leg. Thanks to Yvonne I was able to give the go ahead for the extra x-rays and we are waiting for a referral from the vet hospital, but even that said, Poppy has a new mummy waiting in the wings who is well aware of all of this and has spoken to her vet and will be collecting Poppy next Monday. We hope that she will introduce herself on here shortly. Poppy is a total poppet. ;D

And guess what .......... it's me, Poppy's new mum !!!
Poppy will be coming to live with Chris and I in glorious Surrey with fields, woods and common land for miles and lots of new friends.
The house has been realy empty since we lost our beautiful Phoebe aged 14. My mum, Barbara, lives with us. She is 86 and has so missed having a dog around. Phoebe was always marvellous with her. Mum is now looking forward to Poppy coming.
Thanks to Jenny for choosing us and thanks to Laurie who came and did the home check.
I'll get Chris to post some pictures once she is here with us. We will be collecting her on 25th August so am counting the days until then.
Thanks once again Jenny. The work you all do at SLR is amazing. Without you we would have had no Poppy and one empty house.
love Karenxx

Poppy went off happily with her new mummy and daddy today from the Much Hadham Show. Karen and Chris spent a few hours with us all and Poppy was so so well behaved. Just a couple of photos of her last day. counter surfing And cleaning up the mess from the bowl being knocked off by who ;D Getting ready to go with mummy and daddy. Have a happy and enchanted life little poppet. You surely stole my heart and a lot of hearts this end, and I know you have definitely already wormed your way into your new mummy's heart. And daddy too As soon as we have news on Poppy's x-rays we will let all know. God bless you Poppy. xxxxxx

I think Poppy is going to be Poppy the Princess. She is totally loved and Karen rang this morning to say that she is more than anything they were expecting. (I know ) But she also has a wonderful new home. It is always so hard to let a lovely little one go on, but when you see the love in the new adopter's eyes it is also so rewarding. ;D
