You're obviously subjecting him to sub-zero temperatures to make him snuggle into such a tight ball What a lovely, handsome chap - looks like he'll make some lucky family very happy Keep up the sterling work

Did you make that house collar Penny? Yes I did Jenny. This was my first effort! I am in the middle of making Barney a new coat now!

Lovely pics, we're really glad to see Barney is settling in so well and thanks Penny for taking him on. He does love to curl up in any available space with his paws over his face! We heard him bark once, so he can do it!! Beau is missing his playmate!

Barney continues his progress in our house and is becoming a real character! He absolutely loves my young children but can be a little protective toward them in the evenings and has on a couple of occasions told my terriers off for entering the same room or walking past them! This has only happened in the evening when my children have settled down in from of the tv. But last night he curled up with my jack Russell (Shirley) so things have settled down quiet quickly! We went for a nice long stroll today round the football pitches and Barney is an absolute pleasure to walk and never pulls! He would really suit someone that like to go on nice long walks out. Here's a few more pics taken today.

I popped in for a cuppa today, and fell in love. He is a poppet. So loving. He wanted to get up on my lap, and doesn't know where the end of his paws are, but there is absolutely no malice in this lad. I took some photos but the camera is still in the car, and it's cold!!! I'll add some photos tomorrow. He is adream boy. So loving and so into his humans.

Barney was a little naughty yesterday when the fairy dog mother (Jenny) came to visit! He never jumps up people usually but I'm guessing that all the smell of Jenny's own dogs was too tempting for him! And the fact that Jenny didnt actually discourage him at all didnt help! Bad Jenny!! Hehe Anyway here's another pic of Barney in his favourite position after breakfast today making himself look very small!

Lots if visitors last night and Barney was a big hit with them all! He does however need more improvement with his table manors when humans are eating on the sofa but he will eventually settle into his bed. I don't think he is use to humans eating in front of him at he just doesn't understand that its not for him! Their is no malice in him but does need to be told when things are not for him. I had a lovely lie in today and didnt come down to let them all out till about 8.30 and Barney was still sleeping soundly! (Lazy boy) We are off to pets at home this money to borrow their scales to check on his wieght gain. I'm really gonna miss this lad when he is rehomed as he is by far the easiest lurcher I have ever had!

Another quiet day so far here! I had an early start as my daughter had an away cup football match in Clacton at 10am so we was up just after 6am with just enought time to let Barney out in the garden for his morning chores! He did those and took himself back to bed with his paws over his eyes. We got back home just after 1pm and I'm not sure he had even moved! Think that's the longest I've had to leave him but he didn't seem to care! I suspect he has a bit of greyhound in him as he can be a lazy toe rag and does like his kip! Off out for a walk now if I can prise he butt off the sofa!!
Oh, my daughters team church langley colts u15's girls won 4-1 so that's us through to the semi's!!!!!

He sounds like my Daisy - she could sleep for England. She's a right teenager when it comes to waking up in the mornings. Congratulations on the football win ... go Colts!!!!

Yep my Finnegans another lazy bones. For our before bed wee wee's I sometimes have to put a slip lead on him to get him going, whereas the girls are up and ready immediately

What a lovely thread for a lovely lad. As I write, Socks too is in his 'tiny boy' pose on a cushion not remotely big enough, and his tail shielding his eyes! Look forward to hearing more from Barney xx

Barney has given himself a little ouchy! Not sure how he did it but I think it involved burying something in his bed using his nose as a shovel!
