Due to a change in circumstance the lovely Barney is now in foster with me! I must say he is absolutely wonderful with the sweetest nature. It's early days here as its only been a few hours but so far he has been an absolute gent! He is getting on well with my two terriers even though they won't play with him (miserable little gits that they are). We had had my step daughter with her boyfriend visit and he greeted them very calmly although I though his tail was going to drop off with excitement! Overall first impressions are very good! Barney is very chilled and happy and settling in nicely. He had his little boys op last week and is booked into my vets on Monday for his check up. Here's a picture I took earlier with Barney standing in line waiting for his turn to clean Colin's bowl! I will get some more as he settles in some more.

A chilled fellow ... What a long tail! Also like the way you have co-ordinated his collar with your tea towel! Hee hee.
Elaine - loved your photos and updates. Well done!

Just a quick one before I go and wake the rest of the house up! We had a lovely quiet night here with Barney, last thing last night he went out and did all his jobs in the garden before tucking up for the night in his crate. Not a sound was heard all night and I came down this morning to a sleepy but happy Barney. He went out to the garden to do his morning wee before breakfast then back out to finish his chores and has now gone back to bed! I hope to give you a more interesting update later but all in all he's a gorgeous affectionate lad.

Huge thanks to Darren and Elaine for stepping in for the first week with Barney. He is a quiet nervous little soul and had a few accidents in his crate whilst Elaine was out with the children. Having small children to deal with as well, it was a lot of extra work for Elaine. Penny is around most of the time so hopefully she can get to grips with the poo training. All looking good so far. xx

Blarney had his little mans post op check up today at the vets and everything is healing up nicely! Things are going well at our house and Barney is continuing to get his paws firmly under the table! I can safely say that Barney is not shy, in fact if anyone comes to my house he pushes my two out of the way to get to them first for a fuss. We havnt been out much today but yesterday we enjoyed a short walk as he is still recovering from his plum removal. Barney is a dream to walk on the lead and is always eager to greet passers by. We did however spot a cat whilst out and I doubt Barney is cat friendly! The cat was sensible enough to stay put but I got the impression that Barney would of made chase if it had run. Barney continues to be clean in the house and in his crate at night and so far I am yet to hear him bark. More pics to follow.
