How can peeps not want such a lovely dog? I would have him in a heartbeat! Just not sure I can stretch to it right now He looks gorgeous....just like my Milly! She would love to play chase with him, then snooze the rest of the day. When I first saw pics of him I thought he was her double (except for the boy parts of course)
I met a lady at Barclay park that gave me the SLR card & I'd resisted looking until now as I knew I'd fall for one...I was right! Can't stop checking Barney out, such a lovely boy, really can't believe nobody has snapped him up!
Here is my gorgeous lazy girl..

Milly is so pretty and looks just like Barney. It's good to see you on the forum and I hope you'll keep coming back. Maybe Barney will still be here at a point when you might be in a position to meet him

Thanks for the warm welcome. I still can't get over how alike Barney and Milly are, from what I've read about Barney, their personalities seem quite similar too.
I so want to be able to give him a forever home, there is definitely room on my sofa for one more gangly fury friend. I will be evaluating the situation some more and keeping my eye on this little man.

It's the only way you'll know if there's any chance it could work ... at least you'll know one way or the other. Think of it another way... how would you feel if you came back here in a few days and saw that he'd been rehomed. Would you be regretting that you'd missed an opportunity without even seeing if it might work.

There is no point agonising about hBarney until I know whether he is a good fit for Milly & my mums dog Gem, we spend a LOT of time together and it took a long time for Gem to get use to Milly...but watch this space!

Hi Shelley and welcome to the forum. Sometimes the lot above you get a bit carried away and goad everyone on to meet dogs. Can I remind the Members that the dog has to be right for the applicant and more importantly the Applicant has to be right for the dog. Until an application is processed no-one knows that. Sorry to come over all Big Bro, or big MC, but I hate to see people get their hopes up if things are not right. x

Well said Mummy Chook. I know we all get a bit enthusiastic at times when it comes to the hounds, but we all really want what's best for them. Best thing for Shelley to do is get homechecked first, and then visit Barney (or any other dog - if the criteria fit between hound and potential home) with a completely open mind about whether it will work out or not......and let the dogs decide. It's no good falling in love with a photo. Personalities may clash, situations may not match up, dogs may take an instant dislike to each other.....however - it's always worth a try and if it does work out......fantastic! Good luck Shelley........and Barney.
