Grace and Rory have been waiting a long time to come over. Every time we thought we could take them a local dog needed out. Grace has been in kennels now for over 10 months!!! This is what Gill has to say about her. Grace - female/ est. 3.5years/ neutered/vaccinated/microchipped. Last December, Grace was brought to my rescue by a lady who risked her own life to get Grace safely off the central reservation of a very busy motorway. Grace was a pitiful sight when I first saw her - she was terrified, very thin & had a serious infection. It took a lot of time to get Grace back to full health & she is now in tip top physical condition. She is the most gentle, loving girl, she broke my heart when I first met her as she was cowering. Her former life must have been horrible & she has a few scars on her face which bear witness to some former abuse. Grace will need a special home, she is still very timid of people she doesn't know . She is wonderful with dogs, not just with lurchers. She loves little Rory who has been her constant companion at the kennels for a few months now . She also played with other dogs, collies, German Shepherds etc. - she is very comfortable with dogs, she is just very timid with people. Once she gets to know you she is more confident. Grace has been very happy at the kennels, it's probably the kindest life she has known to date. However she has been there 8 months & really needs to get her own special loving home - with another dog would be ideal. She is excellent in the kennels, loves her cosy bed, her comfort & her food !! There is a sadness in her eyes that makes you want to cuddle her forever. And with Rory, her bestest friend in the kennels. We would love to bring them over when Dana comes. Any offers? What about a pair to foster and adopt?

Beautiful pair. Do hope that they can stay together or at least near each other to meet up for walks. Rory a handsome boy indeed.

We are so pleased that we can finally bring over Grace from Celtic Animal Lifeline in Ireland. She will be arriving on Saturday and will go into foster with Janine over the wet bit. x

Blimey. Didn't realise what C.A.L. meant. What an adventure! From Ireland to another one.

What a beautiful pair. It's so good to hear that once again SLR are there for these dogs. Janine you are really wonderful and Grace will do so well with you as all the others have. We are green with envy though as you will have such a lovely time. Hopefully if it ever stops raining we must get together with the dogs. Well done everyone. Good luck Grace and lots of hugs.

I hope this awful weather doesn't put the mockers on things. Rory and Grace have waited patiently for such a long time. Travel safely vibes to all involved in this transport run.
