excellent progress Barney Um, excellent progress in some areas Anne - others obviously require just a tad more work.
Ahhh, magazinus shreddicus...a strange condition - I remember it well from Paddy's younger days.

;D I bet he looked cute when he was being naughty. They always do. I love Enzo's naughty face ;D This is what he looked like immediately following the crime:
Lying in his familiar position outside the office, looking pleased with himself & undoubtedly plotting more mischief.

He must get on well with Annie then They're best buddies, & I rather think that the young lady has been leading him astray, or at least encouraging his misdemeanours!

Besides doing 'cute,'
Elmer also does a pretty good line in 'feisty' :

You are obviously not feeding the boy enough Barney!! What quality of newspaper was he reading- em...... chewing up? ;D ;D He was plainly very hungry, since he was eating the Tesco Direct catalogue!
He's now grown confident enough to try to persuade the ancient Muttley to play with him:
& he has succeeded! ;D

Popped into Barneys today and little Elmer came up for a stroke. He is so much more friendly than two weeks ago. He loves being with the Harlow Hooligans too ;D

Popped into Barneys today and little Elmer came up for a stroke. He is so much more friendly than two weeks ago. Yup, he's come on a lot, & 'tis really pleasing to see.
I must emphasise that he's very much more comfortable with womenfolk - he was good with Alicia today, Jenny, & also Muttley's mum when she came to collect her this afternoon.
Although he frequently comes & gives my arm a lick, or my hand after a sniff if I hold it out to him, he's not keen on me reaching out to stroke him, & will run away. He does, however, permit me to stroke him when putting his lead on or taking it off, & he always wants to know where I am - he's currently lying not two feet away from me, which is quite normal, & he seems keen to greet me when returning from a quick shopping trip.
A further indication that he's gaining confidence is that when he runs away from me he no longer appears to need the sanctuary of his den in the corner of the garden. (Most of the garden seems to have ended up in the house, but that's another story! ).
I don't, of course, take his wariness of me personally - he's obviously come to us with a good deal of baggage, & I'm sure that time, patience, & plenty of TLC will set him right, as he has an enormous amount of spirit.
