Unfortunately last week there was a freak accident. We were walking back from a lovely walk and a cat shot out in front of us and the dogs. The dogs reared and our dog Milo knocked his head into Honey's right eye pushing the eye back into her socket. Honey screamed out with pain and we immediately rushed her to the vets. We tried for a week to save the eye, but last Friday she had to have an operation to remove it as the retina had punctured and her eye was distorted. She was clearly in a lot of pain. Honey is a lovely dog and is getting to grips with the injury far better than we are. She is beautiful inwardly and outwardly and has a heart and soul to die for. The following photos are not very pretty, but we are sure that she will be back to her beautiful self shortly. And today - 3 days after her op.

Just read back through her thread, and this latest is such a shame, just 2 weeks after she was given the all-clear from the broken leg.
Life just ain't fair is it?
Be strong Honey, you'll overcome this as you have all the other trials in your short life, and there's a lovely home out there for you.
Big hugs to you and the family Jenny, you don't deserve all these extra problems....

Honey by name, honey by nature. She has had the tough bits now is her time for the good times. Let 'em roll. Gentle hugs and a treat from the loonpack.

Having just read Honey's story I am so very sorry she has now lost her eye - bless her - I do hope someone can give her the loving home she so very much deserves. She is a gorgeous girlie.

Can someone just give me around £300,000 so I can get the land. I'll shove my caravan on it. Honey had two stitches taken out Wednesday. Looking good. Sue, the other Vet, just wants to make sure that the last bit has knitted together. Honey gets into everyone's hearts everywhere. We don't know we have her. A poppet, capital P.

Lovely photos, she is adorable, can't wait to meet her at the fun day (if she isn't in her forever home by then). Her wound is looking so much better
