Took the little man and his current Foster sisters (or the terrible 2 as they are known in our house) to Manor Farm to the enclosed dog field, however we were unable to use it due to fencing/maintenance being done so we joined up with a bunch of greyhounds and their owners and went to the unenclosed field nearby - I took the plunge and let the little guy off his lead - and he was like a 3 year old, he had me in stitches and my heart in my mouth!! He loved the greyhounds and then proceeded to gallop up to meet up with some Collies!! I didn't take my camera but managed to get some awful shots of Vic with my phone:
His recall was a bit shaky as he has a hearing problem (medical or selective ) but he would be fine in an enclosed field, otherwise I think he will have a tendancy to wander a bit too far! But to see the smile on his face as he chased around was brilliant and brought a lump to my throat and tears in my eyes. By heck I'm really going to miss him
Needless to say I haven't heard a peep out of him since!
In a perfect world every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog!
Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.
What a lovely photo. Be happy Victor. ;D I also hope to see you all at the funday. Well done Nanette and David for giving this lovely lad a home. ;D Rachel - see you tomorrow for cake and sympathy and then more cake.
Will be joining you tommorrow to help provide the cake and sympathy. You know you've done the right thing for Victor although its hard. Sure he'll be happy in his forever home!! Good luck Nannette and David, be happy Victor!

Thanks everyone. :-) It's been a lovely day with Victor. We've spent most of it in the garden enjoying the sunshine. Victor's been exploring every corner of the garden between sparking out in the sunshine. Think he's had enough sun for today and has now come inside for a rest. Will post a couple of pics later. :-)
congratulations Nanette and David on your lovely new boy, hope he settles well and enjoys himself looking forward to future news, photos and updates on his progress ;D well done Rachel on all you have done for Victor and ensuring his needs come first and doing what is best for him it must have been unimaginably heartbreaking for you but hopefully it will help a little knowing he has gone to another equally wonderful home and will be much loved there too
