He sounds a dear little man, Jenny! Welcome to SLR, Derek, you have been eagerly awaited and we'll soon be seeing a nice little sparkle in your eyes, once you are settled with your foster mum. Happy days from now on! Viviane. X

A little one and so cute, he has a wonderful gentle nature by the sounds of it too ;D. Love the thought of all the girls gathering round him to say hello.

The little man "Diddy" springs to mind, had a wonderful night's sleep. We just went up to bed as normal with all the dogs. We have a couple of cosy quilts on the floor in our bedroom and he chose to lie next to Esme, curled himself up and stayed there all night. Not a peep. Doesn't snore. And didn't move this morning until we said, "Down for a wee then" He's had a little biscuit and will be going out shortly with the gang for a walk. I could easily lose this little man in our pack.

Del boy went to Anil this morning before his transport tun. Anil thinks he may have a grade 4 heart murmur but suggested that the next vet has a listen when he goes for his second vax. He had his first vax, teeth checked (just dirty, but for his age in good condition). Anil feels he is around 8 years old. He has had a flea allergy so we got some maleseb and poor Rachel will have to bath him once a week for the next few weeks. And Advocate put on 24 hours after the maleseb bath and then every 4 weeks for a couple of months. He has a small lump in his side but Anil doesn't feel this is anything untowards except old age. His joints seem supple and he has a high leg action when he wees He meets and greets other dogs but does like to be a little bossy with the girls, trying it on. At some point in his life he has been neutered ;D and someone has cared for his nails, because, unlike most whippet types they are not too long. He slept like a log in a bed in our room last night and is an easy going boy. Doesn't pull on the lead either. Takes full advantage of being outside and does his wees and poos when available. Little Del boy, Diddy, Derek is going to make someone a lovely companion. xxxx He is now on his way to Hampshire for fostering with Rachel. x

OMG - how tiny?!!!!!!!! Seeing him eating off the sweet tin really shows how small he is. I'm glad he's made it to yours Rachel and a huge thank you to Jenny, Mark, Gilly, Jim and you and Chris for getting him there.
