Thanks for a great update on Tag, sarar, he sounds a really lovely dog and once he's gained some strength he'll make a great companion, I'm sure. Viviane. X

Dear Tag is coming on leaps and bounds (literally). He's not the most exhuberant of personalities but every now and again he has a burst of speed and almost, almost played with Kezzie today. He did go flying up the field with her but unlike her came back - he gets a bit unsure going too far away from his people.
I am amazed at how obdient he is - today on a walk we met friend Tom with his 4 dogs, all coming towards on the bye-way. Typically neither Tom or I had any dog on lead or under any sort of control! Kezzie was off toward them in a flash looking for a scrap with Basil in hot pursuit for a fuss and Tag followed on after them - knowing I had zero chance of getting Basil or Kezzie back I went for option dog 3 and did the 'Tag heel' command and to my utter amazement he stopped dead in his tracks and came straight back - now that was impressive for any dog and for a lurcher utterly amazing!
He is the most lovely dog and so so good in all respects. He's settled in really well now and is totally trustworthy in every department except the kitchen - we have to move all foods out of reach at night because he tends to get a bit peckish about 2am!!
He's putting on weight slowly and skin is much improved. Will post some better photos in a while but he's off to Sara and Lizzie's on Wednesday for a short holiday!!
