I love these up dates. She will be a very special heart dog for someone.I recognise the sit in protest. China has the nick name Lady Obstinata (as in obstinate). She is so so obedient in any setting apart from when she is cosy and doesn't want to move. But eventually she gets up with a 'for heavens sake' look in her eyes.

I mentioned this on another thread when I was concerned that this was something to worry about. So - folks - when I say that Tilly bites her nails... this is what I mean! She picks up her entire foot in her mouth and has a crunch about.

Beautiful she may be but she has been confined to barracks (ok, her crate) because she keeps trying to rape Charlie and he is going to keel over soon in all the excitement.

I'm so enjoying hearing how she's shaping up and how her character is coming out now she is gaining so fast in self-confidence! She sounds adorable - and very covetable ...

Lovely updates ;D and she is adorable. Wonderful to see and hear that she is moving on from being that scared little girlie. Look forward to following her progress with you, you're obviously doing great . Good job she didn't come here

Tilly had visitors yesterday. Suffice to say there are still some things to sort out regarding Tilly's health (and I don't want to jinx anything by getting ahead of myself!) but the visit went extremely well.
Tilly was beautifully behaved showing off her gentle side, being quietly insistent that there were cuddles for her as well as pushy Dezzie.

Nothing like a bit of TLC for your best friend when they aren't feeling quite right. Dezzie had her spaying operation today.

I think it's unlikely that this will happen!

Hahaha! Well you are on the spot! Has Madam Tilly found her friend a little exuberant then?

Tilly is having a minor op on Monday to remove / investigate the thing on her nose. mimsmum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=13036She'll have to have a GA so that they can look in a stress free environment. She generally doesn't like being fiddled with (as opposed to having a fuss which she will take 24/7). I finally managed to persuade her to allow me to look at her feet and snip the nasty knots between her toes away. Very sensitive and looks like it's been pulling the thin skin here. So, much as I hated cutting any more of her fur off, I think it was the best thing to do. I only took off a 1cm knot between the two middle toes on each foot and I felt bad about it!!! She didn't make it easy for me though - she kept tucking her feet under her to make it as difficult as possible to do. But no major objections and we got it done in the end. Tilly is really very much like a "normal" dog nowadays. She has a personality of her own but we're not walking on eggshells any more. She barks at visitors in the garden or people walking past. She's very gentle and calm in general and a gently mannered, well behaved princess. She greets everyone who comes in the house gently and happily and assumes everyone is basically a good person. She's a sensitive soul who likes the finer things in life but she likes a gambol about when she goes into the garden. Her only continuing anxiety is other dogs on leads who she "rumbles" at. There's no hackles of raised lips... just this odd sound which comes out of her. However, this is improving gradually. Obviously, she's not been offlead in an area with unknown other dogs as she has been in season but she's going to be chipped at dog club next week and we'll sit on the side and watch the other dogs doing their stuff. Hopefully, she will start to relax a bit. I have no real concerns that this won't improve in time. Everything else has... ;D

Poor Tilly, we'll be thinking of her. GA always used to be an excuse with ourse to get their toenails cut - two of our three lurchers were chewers!
