Spider is a lovely lovely boy. Now 8 years old, he was rehomed by us in April last year to a wonderful lady, who loves him very much. Unfortunately she has a degenerative illness which means that she is having trouble with her balance. As she and Spider live alone together she feels that she would rather rehome Spider now before she feels any worse. When Spider went to live with her he was a plump unfit boy, but since having his new mum he has blossomed into a wonderful lean and loving boy. Spider can be left for up to 4 hours easily, but it would be lovely to have a mum around part-time for him. He is now very good on and off lead and goes out regularly with friend's dogs. Here are a few piccies of Spider to tempt you. He is one lovely boy. And here's Spider on a walk with one of our forum members, Jill, end of last summer.

I remember him too - he is looking fantastic compared to how he looked 18 months ago. His poorly Mum has worked wonders and she is obviously one very special lady I'm so sorry that she is so unwell that she has to rehome Spider and all credit to her for putting his needs first

He's still looking. We thought we had a match for him, but unfortunately the lovely man's heart was already taken with another oldie.

Spider's not far from Brighton - I spoke to his mum...a lovely lady who has made a tough decision....and it sounds like Spider is a lovely dog......gentle, calm and laid back. An easy boy to have around!
I imagine he'd make a great companion for another dog too, even though he currently lives alone.
Lots of love to Spider and his mum xxx

I just click them in as I go along. They show as "punctuation" until you actually post it, then they show as the icons.

I wonder if anyone has visited Spider. He is such a beauty and his Mum is so sad that she cant give him what he needs - tragic

This is kind of a reverse "knock knock" (a kconk kconk?).
Spider's adopter Jan is very attached to him - and he to her - and between them they have decided that they would be happiest if they stayed together.
It will mean some adaptations in routine but Jan thinks the pros outweigh the cons (and so does Spider!).
So, Spider will be staying just where he is.
SLR will continue to offer any support or advice they need. Jan doesn't have internet access but hopefully we'll get updates from Jill from time to time.
Lovely.
First bus back to Happy Endings, then...

Oh how lovely. I hope Jan can manage to sort out a routine that works for both of them. It will be terrific if they can stay together. Please send them lots of good luck wishes. ;D
