Fingers and paws crossed please! Our little Irish darlin' may be off to pastures new this weekend. I'm hoping to meet up with her prospective Mum and Dad on Saturday. We shall miss the little sweetie, but are delighted she may have found that Forever Home so soon. She deserves it.

On her last evening with us, (altough she didn't know), she finally got Caspar to play Tug Rope: She pulled and she pulled, but Caspar is too solid! They soon got tired! This morning we drove to Goring to meet Rhonda's new Mum and Dad, Irene and Jim. They were very pleased to meet her "in the flesh", and she seemed to like them. As long as she gets the lots of cuddles they have promised, she will soon settle with them, I'm sure. Good luck with the rest of your life, little Irish darlin' XX

I have just had a nice e-mail from Rhonda:
"Hello foster mum and dad, just want you to know I have arrived safely in Westgate with my new Mum, about 1800. On the way back she took 2 calls from her daughters who said I was not a Rhonda, they think I look more like a Rosie or Ruby, I'll let you know the outcome. On my arrival I had a drink of water then checked the place out, back garden did a wee, went upstairs ok, my new bed and blanket are great. We then went to the beach, tide was out but as I was on an extending lead I coldn't let rip as much as I would have liked. I was able to checkout some of the local dogs and their humans, and I did a poop which was cleaned up by my new Mum. I have had my dinner and am now in my bed snoozing. Will update u again soon. Thank you for giving me a second chance. X"

I e-mailed Irene to ask how Rhonda is getting on. She is now called Ruby, and looks very well: Irene writes: "as I write this Ruby is lying at my feet. We did have some blips with her, but as time has gone on things are better. Jenny suggested we get a crate ( I would never have thought of that), and it has made a difference. We have taught Ruby to sit, stay, and walk on. She's pretty good at recall, especially as I take treats out with me. We are now working on paw shakes. I'll write more soon."
