It must be heart wrenching to have to part with you lovely hounds Eve, but that's an excellent outcome for you all that they have been offered a foster place together by Vicky. Such good new for Holly and Phin, and thank you to Vicky for making it possible for these hounds to stay together.

We have so many mixed emotions,we know they are going to be fine and thatmakes it easier to manage ourparting. We are so grateful to Vicky and the family. They are booked in for a nail trim and a bath they will be lovely& clean. By the way they love a bath. I will drive them to Vicky next weekend and will spend time tosettle them in. We have given outhouse to a friend until we know what and where we will be in 6months time. Thank you to all you folks xx

it is the least we could do, and we are glad to be able to help out for once we know how heartbreaking it must be for Eve and her family, and knowing that they will not have to be split up will hopefully help Eve knowing at least they will be together and stay together. You just couldn't bare to part, them they seem so good together. We are looking foward to meeting them and getting to know them both, but , obviously, in such a sad and difficult situation...we hope we can look after them as Eve would want and really hope they will be ok with us, and of course , plenty of updates on the forum

Holly and Phin will be arriving in Kent on Saturday, so can everyone please wish them lots of positive thoughts and wishes for them and hope they will be ok also, please think of Eve and her family on what will be a very difficult and emotional day... it will be quite an emotional weekend for us too, as on the Sunday it is six whole months exactly to the day AND date by coincidence that we lost Toby we can't belive it has already been half a year without him!!

Holly and Phin are going to have a lovely time with Vicky and it must be a great relief to Eve and her family to know this. I doubt it will make Saturday any easier though. I think there must be an omen in the date and timing of this one...
Best wishes to all.

Hi Eve, we hope you are as ok as you can be considering how awful today must have been for you , but just to let you know Holly and Phinn are both absolutely fine please don't worry, they are both ok Considering how much they have been through all in one day, they are both coping extremely well so far, Phinn settled in quicker than Holly, he soon claimed the futon as his own throne lol and is quite happy snuggled up there ;D We told Holly she was welcome to join Phinn on the comfy sofa but so far she hasn't wanted to join Phinn up there yet, maybe she will when she gets more confident. She at the moment prefers to snooze on a pile of beds, cushions and quilts on the floor although Phinn has cuddled up to her a few times he prefers the sofa lol they have both eaten well, drank their drinks ok and been to the toilet so all ok there then It took Holly a little longer to relax enough to eat her food and have a drink but she is eating fine now she likes to carry her food a mouthful at a time and eat it away from the bowl lol they have been for two fairly short walks today after you left, they didn't seem to want to go any further than just around the block today and seemed quite content with a short stroll for today, on both walks Phinn pulls ahead with me leading the way and Holly potters along behind with my mum, she is sniffing and smelling every smell along the way, Phinn seems quite keen to get back to the house and doesn't seem to want to venture too far for today they have enjoyed playing with their kongs and enjoyed some treats they have been no trouble at all, very accepting and calm considering they are somewhere new, Phinn is very loving and constantly nudges you for affection, he gave me a and lots of licks straight away and loves to snuggle up, Holly seems more bonded with my mum at the moment and looks to her for reassurance , she has relaxed alot so far but was a little anxious at first but after a few hours settled alot more . Phinn is very chilled out once he is on the futon he is very comfy Holly likes to know what we are doing and know what is going on and follows us around more a neighbour callled by and they welcomed her into the house very nicely and were very happy and pleased to greet her lots of waggy tails. Holly is wagging her tail at us more and more as the day has gone on and she is learning to trust us and know she is safe they are both snuggled up for the night now, very relaxed and happy we know they must miss you already but atleast they have each other and all of their familiar belongings too we will give them a big and cuddle good night for you Eve xx thinking of you tonight we will keep you updated on how they are doing, have already taken some photos of them for you to see and will upload them as soon as my brother can help me take care Eve and Hollly and Phinn send lots of love and a big xxxx

Thats lovely update Vicky and I am sure it will put Eves mind at rest knowing they have gone to such a good foster home. Sound like they are doing well and will get more confident day by day I am sure. its so nice you could take them both on to foster and they can stay together. Well done to you and your Mum by the sound of it.
