What a beautiful face....Is Sarah providing a permanent home for her? No, she'll be fostering her but she couldn't take her until after 6 November so Emma very kindly offered to have her temporarily.

What a beautiful face....Is Sarah providing a permanent home for her? My first foster...... I am not sure why Christine used request rather than suggest? Zia is a pretty name and suits her though.

So pleased she has settled in and I am sure she'll start to show a cheeky side once she knows she is safe. It's surprising how resilient these dogs are. A bit of decent grub and she'll soon be blossoming Thank you everyone involved in getting Zia to safety

Well done Emma and James for getting Zia into SLR's care. Poor girl does look very keen for food, but soon she'll realize that there is plenty coming her way.

A typical saluki countersurfer! She is probably in need of some decent food.

Zia had a settled night curled up on blankets upon blankets as close to my side of the bed as she possible could! A couple of times she stood up and adjusted her position but apart from that she slept through brilliantly until 630 when I got up. Straight onto the landing where she did a little wee but I managed to stop her mid flow and she did the try in the garden!! I'm hoping that she will start to follow Gems lead on the house training front. Last night she kept curling her lip up at little Gem which was a shame but it peaked into a little scrap last night and Gem gave as good as she got and that seems to have sorted it so far as this morning they were quite happily trotting around side by side which was nice to see. I've come to work for a few hours so Mark is keeping them company. I've booked Zia in with a dog groomer this afternoon, she is really filthy and her lodgers are dropping off her regularly so I thought it would make her feel a bit better. Jess sat and groomed a lot of lodgers out of her last night and she seemed to enjoy the attention so I'm hoping that she will be fine for the groomer too.

Good luck with the groomer. She will feel so much better when she is clean and rid of her house mates.

What a pretty little girl. She looks exhausted in the first photos, but up for a phone call with her pork lunch later on!

I got a message from Emma earlier that pampering was postponed a day. Also the cheeky monkey filched some bread pudding. I may need to lurcher proof the kitchen cupboard doors before she moves in!
