Asher is coming in tomorrow, thanks to Christine who has offered to have him for fostering. He is at the moment in Holding kennels in Hertfordshire. He is described as bouncy, but friendly and just wants to play. A couple of photos of him here, and I am sure Christine will update you all when he comes in. Could be another Saluki x collie?

He’s like Sues Shady. Be interesting to see how his character is. He’s totally gorgeous.

Just what I was going to say. Looks like he needs a bit of meat on those bones. Thanks Christine for fostering him.

Very like Shady. If he's as even tempered and loving he will be a fabulous dog. A little more weight and a shine to that coat and wow! Certainly looks Collie x Saluki.

Underneath that worried face, I bet he's a bundle of fun waiting to emerge. Thank you Christine for fostering.🐾

Whenever a new dog gets put on the forum, I always think how lucky they are to end up in SLR (if they have to be rescued!). I am sure Asher will quickly relax with Christine and her pack and we will start to see his personality.

Well he has landed. The lovely dog warden brought him over to my house to wait for Christine. He is a lovely boy, waggy and friendly. Sofi went out to meet him first, telling him off for sniffing too intensely, but he took it well. Mr. Tag then went to say hello, had a little grumble at Asher for sniffing him, but Asher just wagged. He is submissive, and Tag mellowed to him and then just went off and did his own thing. He will be fine with Christine's pack. The girls will tell him what to do.
Christine took a few photos on her phone which I am sure she will get onto this thread later.

Asher BlogHello everyone!
This is a special day for me...I've become an SLR hound! I had an exciting day meeting new people and lots of new dogs and now I'm with my new Human and a new pack. It was fun meeting Daisy, Comet and Alice. I tried not to be too pushy as they made it clear I had to wait until they accepted me... The Human told me they were saying "not yet" when they moved away from me, but when I came back from a walk they all came to greet me, and I was pleased to see them so I think they've accepted me already. I went for a walk with TH and she said I learned to walk nicely on the lead really quickly... that's because I'm smart! TH took me to the V-E-T and I met Leo. I like him, he stroked me a lot and gave me lots of treats. He said he thought I was about 18 months old and that I was in good health. I'll be going back in a few weeks time for a special operation, but TH won't tell me what it's for. I heard Leo say something that sounded like "castration"... is that something I should be worried about? TH took some photos of me. She says I'm really handsome and have a lovely nature because I like people and other dogs. I'm very curious about what's going on around me, but that's because everything is so new. I didn't like it when I had to go into the crate this evening for a while and I sang really loudly. But I realised quite quickly that it wasn't working so I stopped and settled down. TH says I'm a good boy! Here I am in the garden; checking out TH from the kitchen; and I've discovered the sofa!!!

Hope you'll be very happy while you are staying with Christine, you will be well looked after and have some lovely hounds to play with. Don't worry about your little operation, it won't hurt and you'll be (almost) your old self in a day or two. Now your in SLR's hand you can go on to have a long and happy life From Leo Dexter and Bradley
