When James went to pick up Nipper, James (husband of Katherine) went to pick up this little girlie for us. She has been waiting in the wings, but a couple of weeks ago she went flat and we thought she wouldn't make it. She is not a pretty sight, but was worse.

Poor little thing, thank doG she pulled through. Thank you for taking her in and I can't wait to see the later pics when she has blossomed. Sending a mega-dose of Healing Vibes for that to happen.

So pleased to see she's fighting back. Well done James. You're doing such a great job for these homeless dogs

Loads of healing vibes for the poor girl.
I'm sure she will blossom with some TLC.
Lorna's coat grew back really well after she came in with mange.

Jamie picked up Ruby yesterday on the way back from Somerset. His first challenge was to persuade her to stay in the boot and after she had clambered into the passenger seat, he googled the nearest Pets at Home store and bought a crate/bed. Good lesson for next time After that she slept all the way to Suffolk. She is clearly good in cars. First meeting with our three whippets was fine. Next came the big exploration of absolutely everything in the kitchen, including my daughters slippers, which have become a firm favourite. She is not used to the lead so we took her for a walk with a harness. Bit frightened of the woods but got through with some coaxing. Then she had a bath and dinner. Never seen a dog eat so fast. Followed by a sleep by the fire. At night time we put our dogs in the boot room (in house next to kitchen) and we put Ruby in her there in her crate so she was not alone but had her own space. No problems overnight. She is better house trained than I expected. Impression so far is that she is really friendly and anxious to please. The other dogs do warn her if she is getting too boisterous and she takes it well. She likes Ozo best. Tomorrow, we will get to the vets for check up and start vaccinations. Otherwise, no problems so far. I would like to know how her tail got broken. Such a shame. Her mange is clearing up/gone and she is not scratching very much. We will see what the vet says. Will post pictures once my phone has got some charge. xxx

LOL. Ladyb is Katherine who adopted lovely old Tess. Tess is one of the lovely dogs on the sofa in the SLR cards. Sadly Tess died. She then went onto adopt Ozo who Casey fostered. Here is Ozo with the pack.
