Sadly Logan's family have had to move and cannot take him with them. A family friend is looking after him for the time being, but being in her 60's and with a disabled son to look after; and her own two dogs, she is struggling to cope. Logan has been owned by the same family since he was 8 weeks old. Loves to run, beach runs, is currently in the Taunton area, and just needs a little help to find the right forever home. He is not yet neutered, but we can arrange that as soon as he comes into foster. He is stunning. Greyhound X, black and white. Very well looked after. My email has let me down so will put more info on when I can load it again.

Good looking dog - sad for the family having to leave him - but we all know they have found the right rescue for him.

He's around 5 years old.
This is what we know about him from his present carer, a friend of the family -
He has been with the same family since he was a puppy, he's coming up 5 I think. The landlord of the family has put their house up for sale and they have had to quickly find another property to minimise disruption to their daughters schooling.
They have found somewhere which is ideal in every way, other than they are not allowed pets. They tried to persuade their new landlord but he remains adamant. As you can imagine the two girls are very upset.
I offered to look after him and try to find him a new home, but I have not been successful yet. The problem I have is I also have my two dogs, a collie x flatcoat and an Irish Wolfhound. They are both males, only the collie x is neutered, Logan and my Wolfie are not, but I have had no problems with behaviour.
I need help to rehome this lovely boy as I cannot foster him indefinitely.
Is there here any way you could help me before I find myself in the position of being unable to continue looking after him.
He is a dog who loves people. He can't seem to get enough love and cuddles. He is fine with all other dogs. He has once or twice chased smaller dogs that run but the smaller ones seemed to enjoy the game, but I always call him and put a stop to it straight away. He seems fine with cats and he loves children.
He can be a bit of a food thief, but as long as you don't leave anything out to tempt him he's ok. He has never actively tried to get food from cupboards etc, only anything left out.
He can open my kitchen door, as I discovered when he let himself and my two back into the house after I had put them in the utility room to dry off!!
He gets on very well with my two, and they all sleep together, but I get the feeling he would like to be in the kind of home where he can cuddle on the sofa with his owner, or have his own armchair.

I was lucky enough to go and meet and assess the handsome Logan today. What a gorgeous boy he is, so friendly and affectionate. I took Lottie along as a guinea pig. She hates to be without the rest of her pack and sure enough when Logan bustled up to her all grinning and tail wagging, she gave him the silent lip curl treatment. He gave her a hurt look and came and tried me out, giving a nice into the bargain. He seems to have the best of both his breeds, the gentleness and bounciness of a Greyhound and the intelligence and willingness to please of the Collie. He has previously lived with children and three cats, however he will chase strange cats outside. He is a lovely boy and I think would be an easy foster, so please form an orderly queue. He is currently on a raw food diet so will need some adjusting if need be. photos to follow. Waiting for his breakfast Still waiting

What a crying shame for poor Logan's family. Cannot even imagine the pain associated with having to surrender you beloved boy/girl that you've known since puppyhood. ..to them at this very difficult time. Very sorry that we cannot help with fostering at this time.

If lottiesloves can't take him I might be able to help. Is he able to stay on his own for a few hours with another dog for company? X

Wish I could help Logan looks a super dog I live in a small bungalow and already have 2 lovely lurcher girls Dixie and Reeva to cuddle, they are both asleep on the bed at moment. We adopted Dixie (black & white girl) last summer from SLR and she is doing really well, a home is not home without a dog or two , they give so much love. Good Luck Logan im sure such a stunning boy will find a super home xx

Theresa in Worthing will foster Logan. Now we just need the logistics of getting him to Worthing from Taunton. Toni can help with a bit of it, towards Poole. But I think Donna is looking for a bridge in the gap from Poole to Worthing. x
