Dixie was rescued by her relinquishing owner, and was pregnant at the time of her Rescue. Her owner saw her through her pregnancy, resulting in a cesarean section. Dixie's owner has not been able to take her out much as her circumstances have changed and Dixie has been doing the Lurcher wall of death around the lounge, resulting in her knocking into her poor old blind Pug. Dixie is a friendly, lively 3 year old. She is being fostered with Casey in Essex and her 3 year old Whippet and lovely Border Terrier Boris. Just a couple of intake photos here, but Casey will be along shortly to update on Dixie's progress.

We had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Dixie and doing the first part of her transport run. she travelled well in the car ,just a little bit anxious to start with but soon settled down. Here is a picture of Dixie and me waiting for foster mummy Casey to arrive.

My goodness, she is a lot smaller than I imagined. And she is so beautiful. Huge thanks to you Lynn and Guy for pre-intake and transporting. And to Casey and her lovelyl lads for fostering. If she likes football she has a team there!

She is very little, Romi. Are you sure Del would notice? Hmmmmmm, he noticed Hamish and he's not exactly huge. I think it's just that Dixie's face reminds me of Bella's.

A quick update on how Dixie is doing. She is very loving and affectionate, loves to play in the garden with Finley and toys but she does know that Boris doesn't want to play and she doesn't bother him. She has been totally clean in the house and hasn't chewed anything she shouldn't. She walks nicely on the lead and travels well in the car. She sleeps in the crate with Finley and has been happy to go in there if I go out during the day. I've been walking Dixie separately to Finley as she was getting wound-up when Finley was off the lead. I also think that she is a little unsure of some situations when we are out. Sometimes she seems quite puppyish in the way she plays but she is a quick learner willing to please. I nearly forgot, she is also very beautiful Dixie is on the left
