We are helping Katy to rehome Lola from her own home.
Unfortunately, Katy and her partner now have a baby, and Lola is finding it all too much for her.
Lola is neutered, vaxed and in good health.
This is what her relinquishing mum has to say...
Hi Jenny,
Info for you:
Name - Lola
Lurcher type - Saluki/Whippet/Greyhound
Age - Approximately 5, rough Dob September 2009.
Owned since - March 2010
Adults/children - 2 adults + 14 week old baby.
Aggression - no/no/no
Bitten - no
Police - no
Off lead/recall - good but can be distracted by play.
Cat friendly - No!
Behavioural issues - nothing major, can be a bit dominant, bit nervous around small dogs and spaniels as she has been bitten by both, she settles once she realises they're not going to hurt her. Quite excitable with visitors to the house.
Neutered - yes
Wormed - due next week, will be flea treated at the same time.
Health issues - pulled muscle in the spring, all healed. No others.
Lola is the most sweet, wonderful and entertaining pooch you could hope for. She has a huge personality that she is happy to share with everybody she meets. She is a typical lurcher who loves to run but also loves a comfy chair or bed to curl up on. She loves a Kong filled with peanut butter or a pigs ear to chew on. She is currently on a half raw/half dry food mix which suits her well and she is in the best condition of her life. She loves nothing better than sun bathing and will happily spend the whole day splayed out soaking up the rays. She's good in the car and has been all over the country on holiday with us. Lola needs someone with experience of the breed as she can be quite excitable with visitors. She is afraid of loud noises and has run away from the dogwalker when there was some shooting in the area. As long as she can be close to someone she trusts she is ok (the only time she is allowed in our bedroom at night is when there is thunder or fireworks). She would love a friend to live with and play with but is currently an only dog and is quite happy with lots of human attention. She needs to go to a family with older children or no children. She is not cat friendly! She is a good girl off the lead but finds it hard to ignore a chance to play! Her recall is good but like a typical blonde she can be a little distracted. She walks nicely on the lead but can sometimes be a little jumpy at people or dogs that she meets, she is so happy to see everyone! She is an absolute darling and we are very sad to have to give her up. She deserves a wonderful forever sofa to go to and whoever adopts her will be instantly smitten!

Lola is quite happy as an only dog as long as she gets to meet other dogs outside for a play.
All applications through Southern Lurcher please.
