Now around 5 years old and currently on the Isle of Wight. - Little Jay has been through some traumatic times in the last six months. He was attacked whilst on lead - a staffie rushed out of its own house and severaly attacked him. Since then he has been very scared of walking out. Preferring to be indoors with his humans. He is a changed dog. Very timid and quiet and wants a peaceful life. We are not looking for a home for him with children, unless they are teenage and above and quiet. He is used to a quiet life, but sadly circumstances have changed and his owners are parting. He is not getting out much, once a day for a walk and just loves the company of his owner dad. But his owner Dad is having to move into sheltered accommodation and Lupo can't go with him. This little whippet x boy needs a loving home where he is going to get used to going out and about on walks again and meeting kindly dogs who will not scare him. Do you have room in your life and your heart for Lupo. He doesn't take up much room - but stretching out in his photos looks bigger than he is. Sadly, since the attack Lupo has put on weight and his relinquishing Adopters would love to see him back to a good condition again. They both love him very much and both care about his future. He has been part of both of their lives for 3 years now. Contact me. jenny@southernlurcherrescue.org.uk if you think Lupo could fit in with your life. He is happy as an only dog. AND JAY YESTERDAY..

An email from his Adoptive mum. Both his Adoptive Mum and Dad are finding this heartbreaking. Hi jenny Lupo is a gentle soul with lots of love to give unconditionally. He loves the bed and will Snuggle in tight he knows when it's dinner time and loves his burns and raw beef.he knows the commands sit wait down come and the most important bend down ask for one and he will oblige he needs to be the only dog after his attack as he shakes like a leaf when he sees one. Cuddles are a must you don't need to shout at him as he listens to what ever you say he will be a good soul mate for the right person he was mine. He is just amazing in every way all he wants to do is please

How sad all round. Poor Lupo that staffy has a lot to answer for and more so it's owner. Do hope someone can give Lupo a home to get him back to his old self.

Lupo is a real sweetie. He got on well with my girls before he was attacked but has never met Dobby and hasn't met the girls since. He walks nicely on lead and although scared his confidence was improving slowly when I walked him a few times recently. I'm so sad for him and his family and really hope someone can give him the love he deserves. HUGE HUGS for his mum and dad xx

Poor little Lupo, and his family too - what a horrible situation to be in. Really hope someone comes along to give Lupo another loving home. And big hugs to his present mum and dad.

Very sad, for Lupo and of course his M&D. We never know what life is going to throw at us, and thank doG SLR can/will at least look after Lupo in his time of need. Many hugs to all concerned, and I hope someone can find a little spot in their heart/home for him to have a peaceful life.

We have got to know and love Lupo over the last three years and walked a lot with him prior to the attack,he was always quite nervous of other dogs in earlier days but had started to relax so much more a few months before that attack. He really will make a lovely companion for someone he just needs a quiet and understanding household. xx

I hope Lupo finds the right forever home to love and help him. doggyhug3_zps55c50d31Soo sad for you all. Have to add obviously not all staffies are like this owners to blame I guess. So many staffies in rescue too as presumed aggressive and given the wrong image.Xx

I agree staffies can make wonderful pets but , unfortunately ,they are used by some as a macho status symbol and encouraged to be aggressive. Stud collars as well.

Hope some where found soon. Lupo deserves a special home. Wish we could take him but our two are too boisterous. Please let us know the outcome as the outer scars will heal with time and he will still look a gorgeous fine dog whilst he recovers from a very terrible ordeal. Fingers crossed he is settled soon. Xxx

Charlotte has just rung. Lupo has just gone off with his new mum and dad Lynne and Doug to come up to sunny Essex. I am sure Boo can pop in soon and get some lovely photos of the boy with his new mum and dad. He has had a long journey with his recovery. Today will be very worrying for the little man. And he still has a bit of a journey to go up to home. A very sad day for Vic and Charlotte. xxx

it's always good to hear they've found a new home, but this little boy has had a really difficult journey and Vic and Charlotte must be pretty upset at having to say goodbye. Well done for doing to much to help him on his way and I hope you'll be able to keep track of how he is doing
