Lily is in. She went over to the Isle of Wight today to be fostered by Lee and Jackie, who are also fostering Tye for us. Lily is a big Greyhound girlie, around 24" to the shoulder, and will possibly grow another inch to make it to 25". She is greyhound collie mix. Lily is other dog friendly, but unfortunately lived with two dogs who would not accept her and when her family were at work told her so. She became distressed at being left with them. Lily is a very friendly girlie. Lee has promised some more photos this afternoon when they go for an off lead run in an enclosed field. Here she is

That is good. I feel so sorry for her existing family but they have done absolutely the right thing and Lily will be much happier. All credit to them and to Lee and Jackie.

I've sent jenny a few pics from today. She is a truly gorgeous pooch and it's fair to say I'm smitten with her. Good recall no mouthing with the nippers. She's a big girl and is currently boxing Tye at my feet. Great fun today but even after his bath Tye still stinks of fox scat (little sod). There are not enought superlatives for her and if she doesn't find a home quick jack and me will be having a talk. Can't see it taking long tho whoever sees her will fall in love.
really felt for her owners today you can tell she was loved but they made the right decision for her.

Really pleased Lily's in the SLR fold. It must have been horrible for her not being liked by her 4 legged family, and also a worry for her 2 legged one. Well done Lee and Jackie for getting her in and settled. Looking forward to some more pics.

You're welcome Jenny she's lovely. Thank you so much Lee, It broke my heart leaving her today, but I know that she deserves a better life than the one I could give her. She is one beautiful little girl, and someone is going to be very lucky to adopt her, Give her a big from me x

At least you know it will be well loved as you obviously have and find its eventual home with the care SLR gives to these situations x

I'm so pleased that lovely Lily is now on the Island with you Lee. I'm sure that not only is she happier, but also the dogs that she left behind. Sometimes a pack just will NOT balance and the only thing to do is change it. Josie, you have done absolutely the right thing for all the dogs concerned. Lily is going to have a lovely life.

She will find a lovely forever sofa where she is happy.

I love the Idea of an enclosed field, but I am afraid my Bradly would be over that fence in 10 seconds flat, he has jumped a 5ft wire fence when he was standing right next to it, just kicked of the top with his back legs if he see's bushes in the distance he's gone.(Comes back if he can't see you or he gets kn**hered). He jumped over Elaine and Bruce's paddock fence last funday and disappeared for 10 minutes and eventually come back panting and almost crawling.

Well had a visit from my elderly folks today and once again she was a missive hit. Had to prize her away from my old man. Someone is going to get very lucky with this beautiful girlie.
